Rev Spanky Moore comes from Whakatu/Nelson where he works for the Anglican church as a Pioneering Ministry Developer. In his past lives he's been the Senior Chaplain at the University of Canterbury, a breakfast host on a student radio station, and the frontman of a notorious punk rock band. Spanky is passionate about storytelling, discipleship, mission, and journeying with young people as they navigate what it means to follow Jesus in this crazy world.
“Think of me as a cheerleader for all of those people who feel frustrated by the status quo, and want to give something new a go! My work involves identifying, equipping, releasing and encouraging leaders who love to think outside the box and try new things, feel called to local mission, and want to experiment with new expressions of being the Church and making disciples in Aotearoa.”

My name is Keri-Ann Hokianga, I love food, Kapa Haka and singing with family and friends! I’m fourth generation ordained priest in my whānau and am excited to be sharing at the Abbey 2025!
I’ll be touching on the story of the arrival of the gospel to Aotearoa in 1814. I’ll be sharing some of my insights using some of my experience in going to share the gospel out in community and from my lens as a full time Māori Evangelist in the Māori Anglican Church since 2020-2025. Come to hear a different perspective in hopes that you would be inspired and encouraged in beginning or continuing to share your faith with others in our communities. Nau mai haere mai!

Bishop of Wellington since 2012 Justin Duckworth was appointed Archbishop and Primate of Aotearoa New Zealand and Polynesia in May 2024. Justin has been at the cutting edge of mission and ministry in Wellington for more than 25 years. He is a co-founder and leader of Urban Vision, which runs intentional communities of missional presence in neighbourhoods in Wellington, Auckland and the lower North Island.
Justin and his wife Jenny also established Ngatiawa River Monastery, a contemporary monastery which provides a welcome to those who are struggling, those seeking prayerful retreat, and those seeking a missional lifestyle.
Justin is leading a reimagining and revitalisation of the Wellington Diocese today and his prayer is that our communities experience Spirit-led renewal. True to his roots, he continues to advocate for and prioritise the Biblical call to the last, the lost and the least. In 2018 Justin and Jenny moved to Whanganui with a group of young leaders and their families. Bishop Justin and Jenny have four adult children and two grandchildren. When he’s not Bishop-ing, you can likely find him up a mountain, or eating chips and gravy at his local.
A central part of +Justin’s call to ministry has been to highlight the intersection of the ‘edge’ and ‘centre’ expressions of church, hoping together they will help encourage healthy, growing and transformative communities of faith.
Sunday morning he will be speaking and sharing and releasing us all back across the motu. Sending us out to be a living expression of God’s love, an advocate for justice, servants within both our church whanau and our communities.
