Who is The Abbey for?
Youth Leaders, Young Adults, Volunteers and their families. If you are working with Youth or what to be then The Abbey is for you.
Is there transport from Wellington to El Rancho?
A bus will be picking people up from Wellington Airport at 6pm on the Friday and Wellington Train Station at 6:15pm. Please indicate on the form when you purchase your ticket that you will be needing transport or email theabbeyaotearoa@gmail.com to arrange.
What time does The Abbey start and finish?
- Check-in opens from 5 pm Friday in the foyer. You will need to sign in with your ticket and receive your wristband and info on where to find your room. Dinner is not provided on Friday evening so please eat before you arrive or BYO .
-Official start time - 7:30 pm Friday, starting with Mihi Whakatau.
-The weekend will finish after lunch on Sunday. (Approximately 1pm.)
What to bring?
- Bedding
- Towel and all toiletry items
- Warm clothes for outside, casual day clothes for inside (Jackets and Umbrellas for wet weather)
- Football and basketball get up if you want to play in the annual North vs South matches
- Your diary/notepad and a pen
-Your Bible
- Any medication required in a clear bag, labelled with your name and instructions
- If you can bring some cookies or something to contribute to morning tea we would be grateful for that. You can drop these off at sign-in time
What bedding will I need to bring?
Bunk Bed rooms: Please bring sleeping bag, bottom sheet & pillow.
Units: You have a bottom sheet and pillow provided. Please bring top bedding or a sleeping bag.
Family Rooms: Full Bedding and towels are provided
